Coconino County is offering flu shots at the Health and Human Services Clinic in Flagstaff. Officials say drive-up and walk up vaccination clinics will be held every Friday, starting this week and every other Saturday beginning this Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the King Street offices in Flagstaff. The cost for the shot is 30-dollars at the clinic, but it is covered by most insurance carriers. However, those wanting a shot at the clinic should check with their insurance provider to determine if they are covered. The CDC says a yearly flu shot is the first step in protecting against flu viruses. It’s strongly recommended that everyone six months and older get a flu shot every year. No appointment is needed, however masks or face coverings are required.
