The Coconino County Flood Control District and the City of Flagstaff is getting ready for steady, heavy rains are expected into the weekend. There is a potential for flooding Friday through early Sunday, at any time, and a good possibility flooding could happen overnight tonight and into tomorrow. Those who live in flood prone areas should be prepared. Keep your phone nearby to receive emergency alerts, know where your children and family are, keep your pets indoors, be prepared to shelter in place, don’t park on roads where flooding may occur, charge your phones and have flashlights with batteries. If you need sandbag, you can go to either Coconino High School or the Coconino County Health and Human Services building on King Street.
