Coconino County has declared a state of emergency in regard to the coronavirus pandemic. The county Board of Supervisors approved the declaration at a meeting this morning. The declaration enables the county to provide emergency resources, request additional resources and receive mutual aid from other political entities. This also will help the county prepare for event and facility closures, modified staffing plans, work-from-home programs and enhanced communications to employees. This also allows the county to enact closures and other public safety needs as they arise.
