The Coconino County Board of Supervisors elected the new Chair and Vice Chair at their meeting last week. The Board unanimously elected Supervisor Patrice Horstman as Chair of the Board, and Supervisor Jeronimo Vasquez as Vice Chair. Horstman is a long-time resident of Flagstaff and joined the Board of Supervisors back in January of 2021. She is a lawyer by trade and has also been active in many non-profit organizations, community activities, and state and local boards as a citizen. Vasquez is also a long-time Flagstaff resident. Vasquez is a Coconino High School and NAU graduate. He has a large background in education, having a work history of 14 years at Killip Elementary School. Vasquez joined the Board of Supervisors back in February of 2021. Horstman and Vasquez will begin their new roles as Chair of the Board and Vice Chair during the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday.
