If the City of Prescott is going to become a “Second Amendment Sanctuary City,” it will take a little more time. The Prescott City Council voted 6-1 yesterday to table a resolution that would have given the city that title. Several council members said they didn’t like the word “sanctuary” and would rather find another term to describe the city’s feelings about the Second Amendment. Even though the resolution was tabled, it’s likely it will come before council again after it is reworked and reworded. The resolution was crafted similar to Yavapai County’s ordinance that made them a “Second Amendment Sanctuary County.”
