The City of Flagstaff will be closing playgrounds, swing sets, rockers, ramadas, picnic tables and grills at all city parks starting Wednesday. Also the outdoor fitness center located at Bushmaster Park and Parcourse Stations at Buffalo Park will also be closed. The closure is due to the coronavirus pandemic. The city says the safety of the public, staff and the effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 are the highest priority. All parks, FUTS trails and protected open space will remain open for walking, hiking, biking and other outdoor recreation that can be done with responsible social and physical distancing. Also all tennis and basketball courts, ballfields, multipurpose fields, dog parks, skate parks and other amenities will remain open. The closures are until further notice.
