The Coconino National Forest will start selling a limited number of Christmas Tree permits on Thursday. A total of 1,050 permits will be available for purchase online. Two-hundred permits will be sold for the Flagstaff Ranger District, while 850 permits will be for the cutting areas of the Mogollon Rim Ranger District. Permits are $15 dollars apiece. To order a permit, and to see maps of the cutting areas and for more information, head to the Christmas Tree website at recereation.gov/tree-permits then search for “Coconino.”
