A Chino Valley man was killed Friday in a motorcycle-vehicle collision on State Route 69. Prescott Valley Police officers arrived on the scene at Village Creek Boulevard at around 4:45 p.m. Witnesses told officers the motorcycle was traveling northbound on State Route 69 when he moved into the median turn lane to pass other cars. The motorcyclist swerved left twice to avoid two different oncoming vehicles, but was not able to move out of the way for the third oncoming vehicle. The motorcyclist collided head on with a GMC truck, which caused the truck to spin and strike a Ford Excursion SUV. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene and has been identified as 62-year-old Steven Wolfe. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
