The reward for information leading to an arrest of a suspect or suspects in connection with an assault in Chino Valley has risen again. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an assault report on Longbranch Trail near Bandit Ridge Road at around 10:45 p.m. back on August 6th. When deputies arrived they found the 53-year-old man at his nearby home and noticed his face was swollen and he had cuts on his face. The man told deputies he was looking after his neighbors property when he saw a group of people on the property. He went to ask them to leave and he was assaulted by four males. The victim said the group left on a red dirt bike, an ATV and a light-colored older body style two-door Jeep, possibly a Cherokee. During a follow-up interview with the victim, he remembered one suspect identifying himself as “Ross” and the other claimed his name was “Cody.” There was a female with the four males as well and she was on a dirt bike. Yavapai Silent Witness is now offering a $17-hundred dollar reward for any information leading to an arrest. If anyone has information on the assault, contact the Sheriff’s Office at (928) 771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
