A Chino Valley man was arrested last month after investigators discovered he was downloading pornographic images involving children onto his computer. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant on a home on Reed Road in Chino Valley back on January 26th. The execution of the warrant was determined to be high risk to all involved, so YCSO SWAT was brought in to secure the home before detectives were allowed to enter. Authorities arrested 35-year-old Mackenzie Stephenson on ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The other occupants were cleared of any suspicion related to the case. The offense can carry a ten-year prison sentence, per image, often making the arrest of this kind a life sentence for the offender. Yavapai County Sheriff David Rhodes says “There is no way to hide this type of sordid behavior from law enforcement, so we want perpetrators out there to know you will be found and prosecuted to greatest extent of the law if convicted.”
