Chino Valley Couple Arrested On Fraud And Trafficking Charges

A Chino Valley couple is in jail after they were arrested in late May after buying tools and other items with a bad check. Chino Valley Police say 32-year-old Kristina Craft and 29-year-old Mark Norris bought numerous tools at A 2 Z Home Center back on May 29th and wrote two separate checks totaling over $22-hundred dollars. One of the checks was for over the amount the tools cost. When a store employee attempted to contact Norris to refund the money for the amount the check was written for, he couldn’t make contact with him. The employee then looked up the couple on Facebook and found they were selling the tools they bought on Facebook Marketplace for cheaper than they bought them for. Police then verified the checks were written from an account with no money in it. Undercover police contacted Craft to buy a generator. When the two met, Craft was in possession of several of the items that were bought at the store. The couple were then taken into custody and were charged in connection with the discovery. Investigators also found that the two wrote a bad check at the Bonfire Restaurant in Chino Valley for over $230-dollars. They were booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of trafficking of stolen property, fraud and issuing a bad check.
