Coconino County Sheriff’s officials are looking into two different reports of abduction attempts on young females in the Bellemont and Kaibab Estates West areas over the weekend. The first attempt occurred Saturday at around 6 p.m. in the area of Deer Springs and Greenfield in Bellemont. An unknown man approached and grabbed an eleven-year-old girl. He let the girl go when she started to scream and he ran away. Multiple agencies responded to the area, but could not find the suspect. The suspect is described as a dark-complexioned man with long dark hair and a goatee and was wearing a black shirt. The second attempt happened Sunday near Hillside Drive and Rincon Drive in Kaibab Estates West, west of Williams at around 2 p.m. The driver of a blue van offered a 15-year-old girl a ride. When she said no, the suspect grabbed her by the arm and tried to pull her inside the vehicle. Authorities couldn’t find the second suspect as well. The second suspect is described as a white male, 30-to-40 years of age, with short light-colored buzzed hair and stands five-foot-ten to six-feet tall. If anyone has information on either suspect, call the Sheriff’s Office at (928) 774-4523, then chose option one, or call Coconino County Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111.
