CCSO Arrest A Man In Connection With A Sexual Assault Of A Minor In Doney Park

A man has been arrested, accused of sexual assault in Doney Park. Coconino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home Monday at around 4:50 p.m. When they arrived they found that a teenage female had been sexually assaulted in the home by a family member. The suspect left the area in a vehicle and was located a short time later near Leupp Road. The suspect, a 47-year-old man, was taken into custody without incident. Detectives found evidence of the crime inside the vehicle and at the home. He was booked into the Coconino County Jail on kidnapping, sexual assault and sexual conduct with a minor. To protect the identity of the victim, the Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the name of the suspect. The case remains under investigation.
