Cases Of COVID-19 Increase To 128 On The Navajo Nation

Cases of COVID-19 have increased to 128 on the Navajo Nation as of Sunday. There are still two confirmed deaths of the coronavirus on the reservation. The county breakdown on the Navajo Nation is 59 in Navajo County, 23 in Coconino County and 17 in Apache County. Other positive cases are in New Mexico and Utah. The Navajo Nation has issued a “stay at home” order and implementing a curfew beginning Monday night at 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. every day until further notice. The curfew does not apply to essential employees reporting to work and back. President Nez held a town hall on his Facebook page Sunday, imploring tribal members to stay home and not travel, unless it’s absolutely necessary.
