The Court Appointed Special Advocates of Arizona, or CASA, is asking Arizona residents to volunteer, to help significantly impact the life of a child in need. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges throughout the state to help advocate and give a voice for a child in court and other settings. On an average day, there are over 13-thousand youth in Arizona that are living in foster care, with relatives, shelters, or other centers. Currently, there are over 12-thousand children in need of a CASA volunteer. To volunteer for CASA, you must be over the age of 21 and pass a thorough background check. No previous experience is needed and 30 hours of free training will be provided. To learn more or to become a volunteer, go to AZCASAVolunteer.org, or call (928) 226-5420 in Flagstaff.
