A Camp Verde 13-year-old was arrested Tuesday after allegedly making terrorist threats to Camp Verde Middle School. Camp Verde Marshal’s say they, along with Yavapai Apache Police, responded to the school at around 7:20 a.m. They were called after the superintendent reported someone was “threatening to shoot up the school” on a social media page. The teenager was interviewed and admitted, he was looking at suspicious websites on school computers while in class, but denied making any statements that he wanted to cause harm to the school or anyone. The 13-year-old was arrested and is being held in the Yavapai County Juvenile Detention Center in Prescott. Even though his parents arrived at the school to remove him, there was no immediate threat to the school and no one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
