A caller to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office was arrested Sunday for possessing a fentanyl-based powder and other drugs. Deputies were dispatched to the Pilot Travel Center in Cordes Junction at around 7:30 p.m. after 31-year-old Cheyenne Pechacek called them to report that someone had bugged her car. When they arrived, deputies searched the vehicle and couldn’t find evidence of a listening device. However, deputies found a red tube attached to her key chain that contained a baggie of white powder that Cheyenne said “could be” fentanyl. Deputies also found unmarked pills and a glass vile with powder residue. She also had pills in a baggie in her pocket. It was later determined the powder was indeed fentanyl. Pechacek as arrested for numerous counts of drug possession, as well as a warrant. She remains in the Camp Verde Detention Center on bond.
