Burnouts on the Saber Fire burning southwest of Flagstaff have been completed. Fire managers with the Coconino National Forest established defensible space around Turkey Butte Lookout and APS powerlines and no other burns will be needed. The fire has burned over 32-hundred acres and is 32-percent contained. The lightning-caused fire started on August 2nd. Fire operations have sent smoke into the Flagstaff area for the past several days. Smoke will still be coming from the fire, but lighter than it has been recently.
