Bennett Advances In State Senate Race, Nguyen To Face Ransom In LD 1 General Election

The field is set for the general election in Legislative District One. In the state House race, Quang Nguyen is the unofficial winner, garnering 40-percent of the vote, outlasting second place Selina Bliss, by over nine-thousand votes. Nguyen will face Democrat Cathy Ransom, who beat Neil Sinclair by around 25-hundred votes. In the state Senate race, former Secretary of State Ken Bennett advances to the general election, but barely, winning the primary by just 104 votes over Steve Zipperman. Bennett will face Democrat Mike Fogel in November.
