Authorities Arrest Another Person In The Sasha Krause Murder Case

A second person has been arrested in connection with the murder of Sasha Krause. Detectives with the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, along with federal agents, arrested Samuel David Gooch on Sunday. Officials say Gooch made arrangements by phone to take possession of a firearm which his brother, Mark Gooch had given to a third party. Mark Gooch was arrested over a week ago, at Luke Air Force Base, and charged with first degree murder of Krause. According to court documents, the 21-year-old Gooch kidnapped 27-year-old Sasha Krause on January 18th or 19th and took her to an area near Flagstaff at around February 21st. Gooch allegedly used a firearm to kill her and left her near Sunset Crater north of Flagstaff where she was found by a camper. He is also accused of taking her head covering and underwear. Krause was reported missing from her Mennonite community in Farmington January 18th. It isn’t known if the two knew each other before the kidnapping. mark Gooch has been charged with first degree murder, kidnapping and theft. Samuel Gooch was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on hindering prosecution in Krause murder case.
