A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for areas above 65-hundred feet through Thursday morning as an “atmospheric river” cycle storms through Arizona. Areas in the advisory are the Greater Flagstaff area, Williams, the Mogollon Rim, the White Mountains and portions of the Navajo Nation, including Buffalo Pass. Flagstaff should expect to see two-to-four inches of additional snow, Williams two-to-four inches and about an inch of additional snowfall in Doney Park through 5 a.m. Thursday. Travel could be very difficult at times with patchy blowing snow significantly reducing visibility. We could see wind gusts up to 50 miles-per-hour at times. If you have plans to travel in Northern Arizona over the next few days, check the weather as you go.
