One person was killed after a two-vehicle accident at around 5 p.m. Sunday on Interstate-40 in Williams. ADOT says the accident happened near the 163 Exit on westbound I-40, the Grand Canyon Boulevard Exit. DPS says the first semi-truck was coming onto I-40 at Exit 163 and was hit by the second semi-truck. Soon after the collision, the second semi-truck caught fire. Witnesses tell KAFF News they heard an explosion and then saw smoke coming from one of the semi-trucks that was involved in the accident. DPS says the semi on fire then slid of the highway and onto the off-ramp. ADOT closed westbound I-40 and diverted traffic to the on-ramp and then back onto I-40.
