An assessment team from the Army Corps of Engineers was in Flagstaff Sunday. The team was assessing potential sites for alternative care facilities and federal medical stations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The facilities may be needed if hospitals in the area overflow with patients in the future. The team looked at the old Walgreens facility as well as other areas of Flagstaff. Members of the Arizona National Guard flew into Tuba City Sunday, complete with a medical staff and guard members to assemble a mobile hospital in Chinle.
