The Monsoon Season begins today in Arizona. However, the chance of storms today and through the middle of next week will be zero. Typically the Monsoon Season doesn’t really got going until around the Fourth of July. Last year, Monsoon storms started before the Fourth of July holiday, which led to flooding at times around Flagstaff. This year, forecasters say we are in an El Nino pattern, which typically means better chances for precipitation. According to the National Weather Service, the Monsoon Season lasts from June 15th through September 15th.
