Arizona heads into the holiday weekend with nearly 16-thousand cases of COVID-19 with 775 deaths. State health officials say there were 12 more deaths and 293 more cases reported, with over eight-thousand new tests reported Friday. As far as Northern Arizona counties, Navajo County reports nearly 15-hundred cases, Apache County has over eleven-hundred cases, with most cases in both counties coming from the Navajo Nation. Coconino has 959 and Yavapai has 283 cases as of Friday. As cases and death continue to rise, the percentage of positive tests to those who have been tested fall. The current rate is at 5.7-percent. Last week the percentage was 6.4-percent.
