Arizona Still Seeing A Rise In New Cases Related To COVID-19, Mostly From An Uptick In Testing

Arizona continues to see a rise in deaths and new cases of COVID-19. State health officials report 43 new deaths across Arizona with 331 new cases. Officials say the high death rate is due to increase certificate matching. Some of the deaths reported Wednesday, date back to April 12th. There are now 747 total deaths and nearly 15-thousand positive cases in the state with over 227-thousand tested. Nearly 65-hundred new cases were reported Wednesday. Navajo County reports 1,361 cases, Apache County has 1,080, Coconino has 927 and Yavapai has 272 cases. The total percent positive in Arizona is at 5.8-percent.
