Arizona State Parks Give Free Entry To Arizona Residents On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 17th, all Arizona residents will get into over 30 state parks, such as Slide Rock State Park, Red Rock State Park, Tonto National Bridge State Park for free. For free entry, visitors must show an Arizona ID. Kartchner Caverns and Riordan Mansion state parks, along with special events, camping, and concessions will still have fees. This same weekend will be the last chance to complete hikes in the Eight4Two Challenge with Arizona State Parks and Trails. This challenge requires a visitor to hike eight trails in four Arizona state parks in order to win a two-day-use pass. To register for this event, head to AZStateParks.com/842-Challenge.
