Four aircraft from the Arizona Air National Guard will conduct a flyover mission Thursday over the Navajo Nation and Northern Arizona. The mission is to show appreciation to those serving on the frontline in the battle against COVID-19. The flight will include a KC-135 from the 161st Air Refueling Wing at Goldwater Air National Guard Base at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and three F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 162nd Wing at Morris Air National Guard Base in Tucson. The flyover will start over Gallup at 12:49 Arizona time, then the Navajo Nation Capitol at 12:54 p.m., followed by Fort Defiance, Chinle, Kayenta, Tuba City, Flagstaff at 1:37 p.m. and finally Prescott at 1:51 p.m. National Guard officials say this is also a refueling mission along with a flyover.
