Arizona Man Convicted Of Killing Two Women On The Navajo Nation Set To Be Executed

A man convicted of a gruesome double murder in Round Rock on the Navajo Nation in 2001, will be one of the first five inmates put to death under the Justice Department’s decision to resume federal executions. Thirty-seven year old Lezmond Mitchell will be executed by lethal injection on December 11th for the beating and stabbing deaths of 63-year-old Alycie Sim and her nine-year-old granddaughter near Sawmill. Mitchell was convicted on eleven counts, including two counts of first-degree murder. Attorney General William Barr made the announcement of the reinstitution of federal executions on Thursday.
