Area Reservations Still Have Daily COVID-19 Curfews In Place

The Navajo and Hopi nations still have daily curfews in place as the fight continues against the COVID-19 pandemic. The Navajo Nation has a daily curfew in effect from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. seven days a week, but the 57-hour weekend curfew is no more. The Hopi Tribe extended its reservation-wide lockdown and nightly curfew orders Friday, that will last through at least March 31st. The tribe says the curfew is from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m., as well as two consecutive 57-hour lockdowns from Friday at 8 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., which covers the weekends of March 12th and March 19th. As for the vaccines, the Navajo Tribe says health care facilities across the Nation continue to administer the vaccine during drive-thru events, or by appointment. The Hopi Tribe says vaccinations are being administered at the Hopi Heath Care Center. For an appointment, call (928) 737-6049.
