It happened again. Residents in Yavapai County heard another loud “boom” Tuesday night at around 7:50 p.m. The sheriff’s office and Prescott Police dispatchers received several calls regarding the loud boom in Prescott and surrounding areas. Officials say most of the calls came from the south and western portions of the county. This event comes two days after another loud boom shook people in the area. The cause of that loud explosion appeared to be a meteor that entered the atmosphere at a high rate of speed. Officials say there is no indication what caused the latest loud boom.
