An older man is critically injured after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Prescott Valley on Tuesday. Police say 72-year-old Dennis Steinbauer was riding near the intersection of East Frontage Road and North Starlight Drive at around 8 p.m. when a 1995 white Honda Civic hit Steinbauer and then left at a high rate of speed with front end damage and a broken windshield, according to witnesses. Steinbauer was found unconscious and suffered severe head trauma. He was airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
