A 75-year-old Prescott woman was hit by a car driven by a 78-year-old man in Prescott Thursday afternoon. Police say the accident happened at around 12:12 p.m. on Sheldon Street at Pleasant Street. After arriving, officers discovered the victim was walking, with the walk sign on, in the crosswalk when she was hit by a Toyota Corolla, driven by the Prescott Valley man. The woman suffered a head injury, but she was alert. She was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital. Her condition is unknown. The driver was issued a traffic citation for the accident. Police say impairment wasn’t a factor in the accident.
