An accident involving two semi-trucks briefly closed westbound Interstate-40 Monday morning in Flagstaff. The accident happened at around 6:58 a.m. near the Butler Road exit. DPS says several vehicles in the area took evasive action to avoid hitting a deer, which had run onto the highway. Officials say two tractor-trailers collided with one slamming into a guard rail. The other truck got off the highway. The driver got out of his truck at Little America and noticed the damage before returning to the scene. The driver of the semi that ran into the guardrail was treated and released with minor injuries. The wreck had traffic backed up past the Country Club Exit while crews cleaned up the scene. The road was reopened just after 9 a.m.
