An 18-Year-Old Is Arrested For Threats Directed At Mingus Union High School Students

Cottonwood Police have arrested an 18-year-old Mingus Union High School student for making threats directed at fellow students. Officials say they were recently made aware that a student reportedly posted multiple messages on a social media site several days ago. The messages were conveyed as serious threats, suspected to have been done in a manner to cause harm to fellow students. Investigators talked to Noah Lee Rhebb about the posts. He admitted to writing the messages and he confirmed the threats were in fact directed at fellow students. Rhebb was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat, which is a felony. He was booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center. Cottonwood Police chief Steve Gesell says “as underscored by the apocalyptic tragedy in Uvalde, Texas Tuesday, we must and will take threats like those posted in this case very seriously.” He added, “thanks to citizens and the school officials who brought this to our department’s attention.”
