AMBER Alert For A Missing Holbrook Teenager Cancelled After He Was Found Safe

An AMBER Alert that was issued Tuesday night for a missing Holbrook teenager has been cancelled after he was found safe. Police say 16-year-old Kaleb Smith left his home Tuesday morning to go on a run, wearing a red shirt and black shorts and last seen in the area of North 8th Avenue and West Erie near Holbrook High School. Holbrook Police chief Nathan Christensen talks about how Smith was found saying “he (Smith) saw the AMBER Alert found a woman, as he was walking around Phoenix, and she gave him a ride to a fire department where he turned himself in.” He added, “we verified it was him through a picture and put him in contact with his parents.” Police says it appears this was an instance that Smith may have run away from home.
