A drone briefly halted air operations Wednesday on the Museum Fire. Fire officials say the drone was in the southeast portion of the fire area and caused helicopter operations to stop and relocate. They were moved from the Flagstaff City Reservoir, north of the fire, to Schultz Tank where flights could safely resume. A reminder, flying a drone over a fire is a federal offense. Not only could it cause air operations to stop on a fire, but the owner will lose the drone and could face federal charges.
