Ongoing lane restrictions will be the norm for the time being as work continues on the Rio de Flag Bridge replacement project on Route 66 in downtown Flagstaff. East and westbound travel lanes are reduced to one lane in each direction, and shifted to the outside lanes of the road, until 5 p.m. Thursday, August 12th. Crews also continue pavement work on Interstate-40 between Country Club and Walnut Canyon. Westbound lanes are narrowed this week and will be for some of next week before it switches to the eastbound side of I-40. Drivers should use caution and allow for extra time to get through both areas.
