ADOT is advising motorists who use eastbound Route 66 to expect a traffic shift as crews install wing walls for the Rio de Flag Bridge Replacement Project in downtown Flagstaff. Work is expected to run weekdays from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday and lasting through Friday, December 18th. The eastbound lanes will be shifted to the north by one lane, and the left turn lane to northbound U.S. 180 will be closed. Motorists should expect the speed limit to be reduced to 25 miles-per-hour between Butler Avenue and Beaver Street and there will be no left turns at Santa Fe Avenue and Humphreys Street. Also, eastbound Route 66 to northbound Humphreys Street traffic will be detoured to north San Francisco Street to west Columbus Avenue to access Humphreys Street. Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
