One of the final steps in the reconstruction of the Rio de Flag Bridge in downtown Flagstaff will take place on Route 66 Monday and Tuesday. Crews will reduce east and westbound lanes to one lane in each direction starting Monday morning at 6 a.m. and lasting through 5 p.m. Tuesday evening. The reason for the move is to complete final striping on the bridge. If you travel through the area, slow down and use caution while equipment and crews are at work. Drivers should avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.
