The Arizona Department of Transportation has worked on replacing bridges on Interstate-40 around Flagstaff this year and now its West Flagstaff’s turn. ADOT crews has begun to remove the existing east and westbound bridge structure and superstructure at Exit 192, or the Flagstaff Business Route Exit. Throughout the construction process, a minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. During the winter season, October through March, a minimum of two lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained. Closures of the eastbound off and on-ramps and cross-road access through October will be required, during which time traffic will be detoured to the Flagstaff Ranch Road traffic interchange approximately one mile east of the project. The project is about three miles west of the junction with Interstate-17.
