ADOT Reminds Travelers Of Overnight Closures On State Route 89A Through Oak Creek Canyon Beginning Again On Monday

ADOT will continue overnight full closures of State Route 89A through Oak Creek Canyon to continue making improvements to the highway. The closures will be in place Monday through Friday from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. The restrictions are needed for crews to continue on the State Route 89A Oak Creek Canyon Improvements project, which includes rockfall mitigation, erosion control and a bridge rehabilitation. Northbound State Route 89A will be closed at the Cave Springs Campground and southbound travel will be closed at the Oak Creek Vista Overlook. Drivers traveling between Flagstaff and Sedona will be re-routed to use Interstate 17 and State Route 179 as a detour. ADOT reminds travelers to slow down and use caution near crews and equipment.
