ADOT Announces 2024 Arizona Road Projects, With Continued Work On Some Northern Arizona Projects

ADOT has announced its plan for highway projects in 2024. In Northern Arizona, work to rehabilitate pavement and bridges on a 29-mile stretch on southbound I-17 between Flagstaff and the Coconino County line will continue. Work began in the Spring of 2022 and will continue through the Fall of 2024. Work will continue on Interstate-17 between Anthem and Black Canyon City, as well as between Black Canyon City and the Sunset Point Rest Area. That project is set to be finished in 2025. In the Summer of 2024, work will begin to widen one mile of State Route 69 in Prescott. ADOT, working with the Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization, will add a third lane of travel in each direction between Prescott Lakes Parkway and the Yavpe Connector, with a raised median. The project is to be completed in mid-2024 and is expected to improve safety and increase roadway capacity.
