The accused shooter of a Chino Valley teenage girl last Sunday, has been given additional charges in an unrelated matter. Investigators learned that 19-year-old Jonathan Rice was with two women back on June 11th at a house in Prescott, when he pulled his gun out and started “showing off” and told them he was going to shoot. He pointed the gun at the women, aiming at one of them, cocked it and started to laugh. He didn’t fire. Later that day, Rice got frustrated after a transaction at the DMV was denied. One of the women was with him after the incident. Rice pulled out his gun again and pointed it at her face while yelling at her. Again he didn’t shoot. Authorities have added three additional charges of assault with a deadly weapon, along with the original charge of second degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Anessa Williams. Rice is being held on a cash only bond of a $150-thousand dollars.
