Additional Airport Parking On The Agenda For The Flagstaff City Council Today

The Flagstaff City Council is back in session this afternoon, via teleconference. Among the agenda items council will discuss, includes parking at the Flagstaff Airport. They will discuss three options for a future second parking lot at the airport, which is planned to be built across the street from the current lot on the northwest side. Council will hear three concepts to choose from, ranging from 370 to 457 parking spots. Construction costs for the new lot will run between two-and-a-half to three-million dollars, depending which concept is chosen. When construction on the lot is completed, a paid parking system will be implemented for the lot. Council will also receive an update on the Rio de Flag Flood Control Project. The meeting starts at 3 p.m. and you can watch it on the city’s website.
