Eastbound Interstate-40 was closed for a few hours after an accident in Flagstaff early Friday morning. DPS says the accident involved two tractor-trailers just after 4 a.m. near the Butler Avenue exit. The accident happened when one semi-truck hit the other, causing it to drive through the trailer. One of the semi’s ended up on its side and the other’s trailer was detached from the cab and faced the wrong way. No one was injured in the accident and I-40 was reopened at around 6:40 a.m. and traffic returned to normal around noon.
