A visitor to Grand Canyon West reportedly took his own life Monday afternoon. Ruby Steele, Grand Canyon Resort Corporation CEO and Hualapai tribal member says “all guests who enter these lands are part of our family and we mourn this tragic loss along with those who have been impacted.” She adds, “we join in thoughts of peace as a journey to healing begins for the individual’s family, guests of Grand Canyon West, and our staff.” Additional information, and the person’s identity, has not been released.
