One person was killed on Interstate-17 south of Flagstaff. DPS says the accident happened just after 2 p.m. on northbound I-17 between Kachina Village and the J.W. Powell Boulevard Exit. Authorities say a black Ford passenger car was travelling north on I-17 and for an unknown reason, drove off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail. Three people were in the car at the time and none of them were wearing seatbelts. The passenger was killed, while the other two were the driver and a rear seat passenger. Killed was 43-year-old Justina Jessica Ashihi-Subia of Tolleson. The two injured were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment. The accident remains under investigation.
