A Suspect Was Shot As He Tried To Break Into A Residence In East Flagstaff Early Wednesday Morning

A male intruder was shot early Wednesday morning in East Flagstaff. Police say when the man forced his way into the residence in the 52-hundred block of East Cortland Boulevard at around 2:42 a.m., one of the people inside shot the intruder while another resident was on the phone with 911. When officers arrived, they went right into life-saving measures on the suspect. He was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The windows next to the door to the residence were broken, with large amounts of glass located inside. The suspect’s identity is pending as the investigation is ongoing.
