A Prescott Valley Resident Was Killed After Losing Control Of A Vehicle And Hitting A Retaining Wall In Prescott Thursday

One person was killed in a car accident Thursday morning in Prescott. Police responded to the single-vehicle accident at the intersection of White Spar Road and Cheery Street at around 1:16 a.m. Investigators say a 2015 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on White Spar Road when the driver lost control and hit a retaining wall. The driver, a 31-year-old Prescott Valley resident, was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, a 25-year-olld Prescott Valley resident, sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries. He was treated on the scene and then airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital for further care. Traffic on White Spar Road was detoured for several hours so police could investigate the scene and crews can clean the area.
